EU-project: Daedalus

Kick-off meeting in Pisa

The DAEDALUS project officially kicked off with a two-day meeting in Pisa, Italy, bringing together all consortium partners and the European Commission’s Project Officer. The meeting marked the launch of a four-year European research initiative focused on developing minimally invasive therapies for colorectal diseases using smart, responsive 4D biomaterials.

The event allowed partners to align on the project’s scientific and operational roadmap, with presentations of all work packages and discussions on biomaterials, endoscopy, drug delivery, and project communication strategies. The meeting also highlighted the strong collaborative spirit of the consortium, composed of 13 partners from seven European countries.
